Linda "Lyn" E. Parker Duffey, 61, of Moline, IL, died Monday, November 09, 2015, at UnityPoint Health - Bettendorf, Bettendorf, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with her final expenses.
Lyn was born on April 3, 1954, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Edna Mae Parker. She collected angel figurines and butterflies and loved to write poetry.
Lyn was the type of person that never knew a stranger. She had a larger than life personality and the ability to make anyone feel loved. Lyn had an unparalleled wit and was always quick with a joke that could bring a smile and laugh to everyone.
More than anything, she loved people and even listed everyone as family in her phone contacts.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhiannon Fredenburg, Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Geneva Fredenburg and C.J. Fredenburg, Davenport, IA; brother, Richard Parker, Moline, IL; sister-in-law, Chrissy Covemaker Welsh, Port Byron, IL; niece, Sara Parker, Moline, IL, and her children, Avery and Mason; other nieces and nephews; special friend, Teresa Stockwell.
She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Michael Parker.
