Lois E. (Wilson) Bergstrom

Lois E. Bergstrom, 90, of East Moline formerly of Orion passed away on March 26, 2016 at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis.

A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 1001 9 Street, Orion.  Visitation will be from 10-11 at the church.  Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Church or to the Ladies Auxiliary of Orion American Legion.  Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lois was born on November 5, 1925 in Coal Valley the daughter of Seth and Stella Dalluege Wilson.  She married John C. Bergstrom on February 14, 1947 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion.  He preceded her in death on October 30, 2001.

Lois was employed at the former Dairy K in Orion and later as the custodian at St. Paul Lutheran Church retiring in 1987.  She was very involved with the church having been a choir member and past president of WELCA and was a member of Friendly Stitchers.  Lois was also a member and past president of the Orion American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  Above all Lois loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, David; daughter-in-law, Ruth Bergstrom; 3 sisters, Alice Wilson, Ruth Wilson and Jeanette Moody and 3 brothers; Glen Wilson, John Wilson and Craig Wilson.
