Lois M. Burrus, 86, of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Avonlea Cottage, Milan, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Lois was born on May 8, 1928, in South English, IA, the daughter of John D. and Nellie Glandon Trusler. She was raised in Iowa and graduated from high school in South English, IA. She moved to Moline in 1947 and married Clyde Burrus on May 29, 1948, in Silvis, IL, and he preceded her in death in March 5, 2011. She worked as a crossing guard for the City of Moline for 15 years, retiring in 1974, and was a past member of Moline P.T.A.
Lois was a charter member of Aldersgate Methodist Church where she was the Sunday school teacher, past president of Ruth Circle and a member of their choir. She dedicated many years of service to the church.
Lois loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

7 great grandchildren Samantha and Joshua Durbin, Ava and Aaron Langford, Logan Luchner, Olive Burrus, and one on the way
Sister Helen (John) Elliott Rock Island, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 brothers; 2 sisters.
