Mabel Kaalberg

Mabel C. Kaalberg, 83, of East Moline, died on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at the Iowa Masonic Health Facilities, Bettendorf.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., is assisting the family.

Mabel was born on November 24, 1934, in Bardoph, IL, the daughter of Clarence L. and Ione (Greenup) Croxton.  She married Leonard Kaalberg on December 16, 1950, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2004.

Mabel was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline.

Survivors include her children, Dennis (Carol) Kaalberg, Bettendorf, Connie (Stephen) Johnson, Bettendorf, and Ken (Marie) Kaalberg, Rock Island; grandchildren, Sara Kaalberg, Kari Hofmann, Leo (LeAnne) Kaalberg, Kyle Fisher, Ryan (Sarah) Fisher, Derek (Danielle) Kaalberg, Jason Kaalberg, and Alex Kaalberg; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Jones, Corpus Christi, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, children, Gary Kaalberg and infant twins Sherrill and Terrill,  parents, and brothers, Tom, Duane, David and Richard, and sisters Betty, Barbara and Bonnie.
