Margaret Irene (Severt) Emmert

Margaret I. Emmert, 76, of Coal Valley, passed away, Thursday, April 8, 2021 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Private funeral services will be held at this time.  Public visitation will be from 4-7p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery.  In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.

Margaret was born on June 10, 1944, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Mercy and Irene (Meierotto) Bribriesco.  She married Robert W. Emmert on April 16, 1966 in Davenport, IA.  She worked as a Procurement Officer at Rock Island Arsenal for 44 ½ years.  Margaret enjoyed bowling; she still got together with her bowling team.  She liked crosswords, sudoku & puzzles, bingo, traveling, and camping.  She was a part of FOE Auxiliary, Moose Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, children, Robert D. (Veronica) Emmert, Amanda (Louis) Frangos, Breanna (Eric Masengarb) Emmert; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Diane Schmidt and Linda (Mike) Kessler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mercy and Irene Bribiesco; father, William Severt; and sister, Bertha Jansen.
