Margaret “Peggy” Weidenbach, 93, formerly of Silvis, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at Parkway Center in Sterling.

Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday May 12, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at Moline Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Cancer Research.

Peggy was born on July 1, 1931, in Coggon, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Mable (Glynn) Ohda. She married Freddie Joe Weidenbach on November 22, 1975, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2016. Peggy was a loving homemaker and later an interior designer. She was a past member of First Baptist Church, Silvis. She was very involved in her children’s lives and activities. Peggy enjoyed sewing, ceramic, and reading.

Survivors include her children, Jim (Helen) Brown, Rock Falls, IL, Barb (Steve) Wegrzyn, Justice, IL, Mike (Pam) Brown, Sterling, IL, Patrick Brown, Sterling, IL and daughter-in-law, Tara Brown, Winnebago, IL; Peggie (Kurt) Kennedy, Marion, IA; stepchildren, Jason Weidenbach, Marquette, IA, Zod “Troy” (Daniel) Weidenbach, Milwaukee, WI, Parris (Karen) Weidenbach, Waukesha, WI, Athena (Jim) Lance, Solon, IA; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Janet Ryan, Harmon, IL, Lynn Kineson, Sterling, IL; brother-in-law, Jack Hall, Sterling, IL.

She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Kelly Kennedy, Ashley Weidenbach, Zebulon Weidenbach; siblings, Carol Gilroy, Sharon Schmitt, JoAnne Hall, and infant brothers Fred & Frank Ohda.
