Margie A. Johnson, 68, of Andover, IL, died Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Harrisburg Medical Center, Harrisburg, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be at accorded following the services. Memorials may be made to her family or the American Diabetes Association.
Margie was born on May 9, 1947, in Moline, IL, the daughter of John R. and Katherine C. Schmoll Johnson. She worked as a secretary for MH Equipment, LMI in Coal Valley, and Visiting Nurses in Moline.
Margie enjoyed Autumn Leaf conventions, traveling, loved playing cards and playing Bingo. She loved to go out to eat and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Tracey (Clay) Anderson, Sherrard, IL; 5 grandchildren, Joshua McMeekan, Matherville, IL, Nicholas McMeekan, Matherville, IL,Kristin Anderson, Sherrard, IL, Hayley McMeekan, Sherrard, IL, and Hannah Anderson, Sherrard, IL; 1 great grandson, Hayden McMeekan, Sherrard, IL; sister, Marilyn K. Raes, Andover, IL; brother, Louie (Donna) Johnson, Orion, IL; brother-in-law, Randy Lee, Osco, IL; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Tina Lee; spouse, Jerry Yates.
