Marilyn A. Kester

Marilyn A. Kester, 89, of Silvis, passed away at her residence on Friday, January 24, 2025. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting with arrangements, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association..

Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded and private inurnment will take place in Nebraska at a later date.

Marilyn was born on May 12, 1935 in Binger, Oklahoma to John and Hazel Sensentaffer McLane. She married Philip Kester on August 17, 1954 in Cambridge, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2022. Marilyn was employed as a teacher with the East Moline School District retiring in 1991.

Survivors include her sons, Karl and Ginger Kester of East Moline, Illinois and Reid and Edi Kester of Utica, Kansas.
