Marion L. Kuhn

Marion L. Kuhn, 70, of Coal Valley, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and a memorial visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Orion. Private inurnment will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Coal Valley.  Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley, where Marion was a member.

Marion was born on November 16, 1951, in Galesburg, the daughter of Don and Corinne (Johnson) Terpening. She married David Kuhn in Galesburg in 1980. Marion was employed as a secretary and receptionist with the Galesburg Chamber of Commerce. She later was employed at the Honda Shop, Galesburg, where she worked as a bookkeeper and in sales. She then went to the Deere Harvester Credit Union where she worked as the coordinator of accounting for 30 years, retiring from the corporate office in 2022. She enjoyed spending time with her family and tending to her flower gardens.

Survivors include her husband, David; daughter, Deanne Engelbrecht, Rock Island; grandson, Josh Engelbrecht, Phoenix, AZ; siblings, Janet (Pete) Drummond, Benald, IL, Marjorie Gray, Galesburg, Ed Terpening, Galesburg, Roger (Darcey) Terpening, Rio, and Jerry (Kathy) Terpening, Abbeville LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
