Marjorie E. Jinks, 86, a resident of Mercer County Nursing Home, formerly of Sherrard died October 27, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2008 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Mercer County Nursing Home or Sherrard Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in Rural Township Cemetery, at Beulah Presbyterian Church.
Marjorie was born May 29, 1922 in Rural Township, Rock Island, CO. to Tom and Eva (Erickson) Schofield. She was a graduate of Sherrard High School. She married Raymond L. Jinks on May 9, 1942 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded him in death on September 27, 1992.
During her lifetime she worked at Strombeck & Becker, Art & Lee's Lunch & Tindall's Royal Blue while raising her children. Later she was a substitute cook at the Sherrard grade school.
Marjorie was a very active member at Sherrard Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, a treasurer for many years as well as other offices within the church.
She is survived by
