Martha was born on October 15, 1945, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of J. Jesus Granados and Maria De Luz Ramos. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in East Moline. In her earlier years, Martha worked as a secretary at a lawyer’s office in Mexico and later as a city bus driver for Metro Link.
Martha was quiet and reserved but showed her compassion with her actions. Growing up, in Mexico, she attended an all-girls Catholic school. She was very devoted to her Catholic faith and gave the sign of the cross to her loved ones. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, shopping and updating her home. She liked watching detective crime movies, her telenovelas and enjoyed listening to music. Rocio Durcal was one of her favorite singers. As teenagers, in Mexico, Martha and her friends met the singer in a hotel hallway and had a brief conversation with her.
For those who knew her she was very forgiving and brought trust, comfort and compassion into their lives. During her passing, she was connecting with her deceased loved ones, both family and baby dogs. They have now welcomed her with open arms and eternal love.
