Martin S. "Marty" Hamilton

Martin S. “Marty” Hamilton, 74, of Moline, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Marty was born on December 30, 1947, in Aschaffenburg, Germany, the son of Paul and Donna Hamilton. He married Janice M. Versluys on September 27, 1967, in East Moline. He previously worked as a scheduler for John Deere Harvester Works. Marty loved music and was a self-taught and talented musician. He was a handyman and had a keen interest in astronomy.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Janice; sons, Jason (Cari Cooney) Hamilton, and Paul (Stephanie) Hamilton; grandchildren, Aiden and Sophia; sister, Maria; nieces, Natalia and Christina.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Connie.
