Mary Louise Azinger-Jaster, 102, of Lake Wales, FL, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at her residence.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mary was born on January 24, 1914, in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Herman H. and Grace Schevers Azinger. She married Everett Jaster on December 26, 1942, at St. Peter's in Keokuk. She was a long time employee of Shaffer Pen Company in Ft. Madison, IA, and Joy's Ceramic's, in Moline, IL, where she worked as a molder. Mary was an avid reader, enjoyed handwork, and loved her dog, Sarah. She was of the Catholic faith. Above all, Mary was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include her son, John (Mimi) Jaster, Rock Island, IL; daughters, Rebecca Ann (Joachim) Tospann, Hamburg, Germany, and Lydia (Ty) Van Alsburg, Moline, IL; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leo Azinger, Herman Azinger, Francis Azinger, Joseph Azinger, and John Azinger.
