Mary Guthrie, 76, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Hope Creek Care Center, Moline, IL
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at South Park Presbyterian Church, 1501 - 30th Street, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Memory Care Unit, East Moline, Illinois. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., is assisting the family.
Mary was born on March 19, 1936, in Montour Falls, NY, the daughter of William and Leah (Ackley) McLaughlin. She married Ron Guthrie on May 21, 1955, in Rock Island, IL.
Mary worked as a Price Analyst Manager for the U.S. Army Armament Munitions and Chemical Command. She was a member of South Park Presbyterian Church in Rock Island.
