Mary Jo Kave

Mary Jo Kave, 79, of Moline, died January 18, 2014 at her residence.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4107 21 Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church or to American Cancer Society.

Mary Jo was born on February 5, 1934 in Moline, the daughter of Marguerite Merry. She married Richard L. Kave on January 30, 1955 in Moline; he preceded her in death on May 22, 1983.

Mary Jo was a secretary for State Farm Agent, Kerry Stoudt for a total of 28 years retiring in 2007. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline where she enjoyed bible study and the Card Club, "Sisters of the Hearts". Mary Jo was a long time season ticket holder at the Music Guild. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, gardening, bowling and Facebook. Mary Jo was an avid fan of NASCAAR always cheering for Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Mary Jo was very family oriented; whether it was their sporting events or Friday night bon fires and wiener roasts her family was her true love.

She is survived by her children;
