Mary "Jo" J. Knaack, 56, of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at home.
Per her wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mary was born on April 21, 1959, in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of William and Marilyn Luse Laschke. She married Dave Knaack in Davenport. She later partnered with Brian Teigland who was her soulmate, best friend, and loving partner for over 15 years.
Mary worked as a manager for the President Riverboat Casino and later as a manager for Goodwill Industries. She was also a merchandiser for Acosta and a census taker for the US Census Bureau.
Mary loved flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed game nights.
Survivors include her devoted partner, Brian Teigland; mother, Marilyn Laschke, Iowa City, IA; sisters, Hollie Laschke, Iowa City, IA, Ruth (Dennis) Woods, Bettendorf, IA, and Susie (Gilbert) Phelps, Iowa City, IA; 3 nieces, Taylor (Dallas Snyder) Earnest, McKenna Earnest, and Jennifer (Brent) Quirim; nephew, Brian Laschke; cat, Dale.
She was preceded in death by her father.
