After graduating from Seneca public schools, Jane attended 2 ½ years of RN training at Methodist Hospital of Central Illinois.
In 1965 she began a 14-year marriage to Larry Don Heimer, Sr. during which she gave birth to her beloved son, Larry Don Heimer, Jr. While living in Long Beach, CA, Jane worked as a Certified Operating Room Technician at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
After returning to Illinois, Jane received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Illinois Valley Community College of Oglesby, IL.
