Maxine Grace (Nowack) Grisham, 95, of Silvis, passed away, May 25, 2025, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, or Milan Animal Shelter.

Maxine was born on December 11, 1929, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Fred and Clara Nowack. She married Frank Lee Johnson in 1953, they later divorced in 1965. She later married Robert Charles Grisham in 1966; he preceded her in death on July 26, 1983. Maxine then met her significant-other, Warren, in 1986 and they were together for 26 years until his death in 2011.

Maxine graduated from Reynolds High School and attended Black Hawk College. She worked as a scanner for TBK Bank. Maxine was a lifetime member of the ABWA (American Women’s Business Association), and a past president of the local chapter. She was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Mixed Bowling League for 50 years. Maxine was also the coordinator and trainer for Girl Scout Leaders and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader herself for many years. She was a member of the original board of directors of the Rock Island girls’ softball league, as well as a team coach for various teams in the league. Maxine was a Quad City Mallards Fan.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn (Roderic) Fowler, Dianne (Douglas) Allison, Norman (Linda) Hanson, and Frank (Janice) Havelock; grandchildren, Hannah, Todd, Nicole, Adam, Rachael, and Pam; great-grandchildren, Alivia, Emma, Alex, Addison, Lila, and Roman; sister, Betty Marie Otts; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; significant-other Warren; siblings, Ascineth Kroeger and Edward Kroeger Jr.; daughter, Kaye and son-in-law; Sam Trujilo.
