Michael L. "Boogie" Carlile, 65, of Silvis, IL, died Friday, July 25, 2014, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal where military honors will be conducted by Moline American Legion Post 246. A time of visitation with the family will be on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline, IL. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2014 at National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. that morning for his final ride. Memorials may be made to his family for a fund to be established.
Michael was born on October 7, 1948, in Moline, IL, the son of Earl Louis and Eileen Haddix Carlile. He worked as a motorcycle mechanic and also for Labor Union #309 until 2006. Michael was a United States Army veteran.
