Michael A. Ewing

Michael A. Ewing, 64, of Milan, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services. Inurnment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery.

Michael was born on August 18, 1957, in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Harold and Doris (Harrington) Ewing. He graduated from Weathersfield High School in Kewanee, IL, in 1975. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1979 from the USS Long Beach in San Diego, California. Michael was previously employed at Cox Cable, currently Mediacom, from 1980-1992, and got together with his work friends every month for lunch. He enjoyed being outdoors, travelling, and listening to music.  Michael was a good person who always put others first.

Survivors include his siblings, Yvonne Reader and Stephen Ewing; many nieces and nephews; and dear & close friend, Gregory Spoon of Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
