Michael Terry Gillespie, 72, of Carbon Cliff, IL, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at home.
Visitation will from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Private family burial services will be at a later time. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Mike was born on December 12, 1942, in Moline, the son of Joseph and Juanita Graham Gillespie. He married Sondra Decker on May 14, 1966 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in East Moline.
Mike was a U.S. Army veteran and spent 4 years in the National Guard. He was employed with John Deere for 37 years, retiring in 2004. Mike loved fishing, traveling, working in the yard and spending time with his family.
