Nancy J. Perkins, 74, of Milan, IL, died Sunday, May 15, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the funeral home. Following the visitation, per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. The family will hold a private burial at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal.
Nancy was born on March 31, 1942, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Francis and Dorothy DeYoung Montford. She married Allan D. Perkins in February of 1964 in Elgin, IL, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2014. She worked for the arsenal for 30 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Perkins, Buxton, ME, Holly (Cory) Larson, Sherrard, IL; stepson, Allan (Marinda) Perkins, Jr., Haarlem, Netherland; 7 grandchildren, Cody (Stacie) Johnson, Tyler (Gina) Johnson, Brady (Gina) Johnson, Dylan Larson, Logan Larson, Davin Perkins, Sam Perkins; 4 great grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Brody Johnson, Bristol Johnson, and Weston Johnson; sister, Barbara Uecker, Silvis, IL; brother, Michael (Michele) Montford, Moline, IL; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
