Nancy was born on December 28, 1944, in Woodhull, the daughter of Benjamin and Ione (Frost) Bruner. She married Larry Rhodenbaugh on April 19, 1962, in Swedona. Nancy was the owner/operator of Nancy's Beauty Shop in Sherrard. She also handled the books and was the secretary for Rhodenbaugh Excavating as well as working as a secretary at Rienholt and Gardner. She was a member of the Sherrard Lutheran Church and The Left Bank Art League.

To say that Nancy was an artist is an understatement. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making dresses for Jan Nahrgang porcelain dolls, as well as making and selling porcelain dolls. She also took pleasure in making pottery, stained glass, oil and watercolor painting, sewing, embroidery, and quilting. She learned tatting from Mrs. Tollerud of Sherrard, IL and enjoyed making doilies. Nancy also upholstered a king and queen chair that sold to a museum house in Florida.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Michael Rhodenbaugh and Betsy (Rob) Davison; 6 grandkids, Jamie, Kristina, Michelle, Jessica, Daniel, Vanessa; 12 great-grandkids; siblings, Doyne Bruner of Colorado Springs CO, and Kathy (Harvey) Robinson of Orion, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Lyle Fletcher; brother, Rollo Bruner; sisters, Beverly Bruner, Jan "Tootsie" Tollerud, and Barbara Plapp; and sister-in-law, Darlene Bruner.
