Naomi “Nickie” D. Snyder, 91, of Moline, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, at home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 18, 2019, at South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. Private burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine. Memorials may be made to the family.
Nickie was born on September 17, 1927, in Muscatine, IA, the daughter of Delbert and Arzella Ross Snyder. She graduated high school in 1946 and went on to graduate from beauty school in 1948. She retired from the former Service Rubber, Rock Island, on June 1, 1990, after 39 years. She was a founding member of the Mississippi Valley Country and Western Music Association.
Survivors include half-sisters, Sandy (Cecil) Maxam, Muscatine, and Tammy (Tom) Ganoe, Jefferson, IA; nieces, Kris Hillman, Moline, Eileen (Robert) Thurman, Wilton, IA, Kathy Terhune, Atalissa, IA, Vickie (Steve) Cormeau, St. Louis, MO, Kelly Howell, Muscatine; and nephews, Larry (Sandy) Kistenmacher, Bettendorf, and Mike (Mary) Kistenmacher, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Vi Hansen, Alma Thomas, and Barb Andresen; half-brother, Lynn Snyder; nephew, Garry Kistenmacher; and nieces, Julie Martz and Debe Naber.
