Naomi B. Templeton

Naomi B. Templeton, 82, of Rock Island, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at her home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Immediately following the visitation, there will be a procession to Greenview Memorial Gardens for the inurnment. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Naomi was born on July 17, 1943, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Earl and Rita (Pellin) West. She married and later separated with Bruce Lyon; he preceded her in death on October 23, 2025. Naomi also married Gene O. Templeton in Rock Island, IL, on December 31, 1976; he preceded her in death on March 19, 2012. She worked as a bus driver and was an owner of N.B.T. Construction. Naomi loved gardening and caring for her flowers. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and Elvis memorabilia.

Survivors include her children, Brett Lyon, Brandon Lyon, Tanya (Jeff) Lang, and Tara Templeton; stepson, Gene Templeton Jr; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
