Norma Jean Warner, 84, of Coal Valley, IL, died peacefully Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA, after a brief illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church or to Rock Island County Animal Care and Control (Humane Society).
Norma was born on October 8, 1929, in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Carl and Hazel (Hentz) Lovelace. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1947. She married Charles E. Warner on December 15, 1951, in Rock Island, IL, and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2014. Norma was retired from JC Penney in Moline.
Norma was a faithful 37 year member of Riverside United Methodist Church in Moline. She was actively involved in Ruth Circle of UMW, and was very involved in education serving as the Past President of Coal Valley Elementary School PTA; Past President of Wilson Jr. High PTA; and was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. Norma was also active in several associations including serving as a member, secretary, and Past Matron of the Valley Chapter Order of Eastern Star, DeMolay Mother's Club, Alcoa Retirees, the East Moline American Legion Auxiliary, Daughters of the Nile in Davenport, and Rainbow Girls Grand Cross of Color. She enjoyed camping, knitting, and anything involving her granddaughter.

A large extended family and many beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
