Obiedeah Critchfield, 70, of Silvis, IL, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island, IL.
Graveside Services will be held for family and friends to attend at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal. Immediately following the services there will be
a gathering at 1717 Harmony Court in Bettendorf, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family for the Alzheimer's Association. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Obiedeah was born on July 21, 1941 in Ottumwa, IA, raised by his mother, Hazel McDonough and his sister and brother-in-law Madyln and Clarence Swope. He married Karen M. Harmon on October 14, 1961 in Davenport, IA. Obiedeah worked as a welder for John Deere Harvester in Moline, retiring in July of 1996. He later worked for the Quad City Times. Obiedeah very much enjoyed bowling, golf, and woodworking. He was also a very good Handyman. He loved pets, especially dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rebecca; sisters, Vernice McDonough and Roberta Bauman; and special friend and buddy, Max.
He was loved by all.
