Pamela D. Gainey, 55, of Orion, IL, died Thursday, January 30, 2014, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014, at Orion United Methodist Church, 407 12th Avenue, Orion. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1307 4th Street, Orion. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Pam asked for memorials to be given to her family for a fund to be established in her name.
Pamela was born on April 12, 1958, in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Melvin and Wanda (Burns) McCaw. She married Tyrone Gainey on May 15, 1993, in Orion.
Pamela was currently working for 34 years for the Bituminous Insurance Company Rock Island Home Office in Employee Services. She was a member of Orion United Methodist Church, Orion Booster Club, and was actively involved with the Orion Prom Committee. Pamela especially enjoyed attending her daughters sporting and cheerleading events. More than anything, she loved "being Mom" to her daughters.
