Pamela "DeeDee" Ann Newton, 64, of Rock Falls, formerly of Orion, IL, died Thursday, September 03, 2015, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1416 3rd Avenue, Rapids City, IL. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. with a Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family.

DeeDee was born on October 17, 1950, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Marvin and Dorothy Coopman Massey. She married Richard Newton on February 19, 1977, in Orion, IL. She worked as a travel agent for Travel Consultants. She was also an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay.

DeeDee enjoyed traveling and attending her grandchildren's activities. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. To her, everyone was family and she never met a stranger.

Survivors include her loving husband, Richard Newton; children, Angelique (James) Saddoris, Hillsdale, IL, and Ashley (Jeremy) Minard, East Moline, IL; grandchildren, Tyra, Danika, Wiley, and Dorothy; mother-in-law, Mary Newton; and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, John Newton; brother, Guy Massey; nephew, Ty Massey.
