Patricia “Pat” S. Malmloff, 75, of Silvis, passed away at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf on Sunday, July 7, 2019.
Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Funeral service will be Friday, July 12, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment of cremains will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, East Moline, at a later date. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House (2546 Tech Drive, Bettendorf, IA 52722) or Furever Family Veterinary Care Center (1771 30th Ave., East Moline, IL 61244).
Pat was born on May 21, 1944, in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of William and Betty (Mason) Clark. Her father preceded her in death when he died in France during World War II, she was just 4 months old. Pat attended Rock Island High School, Western IL University and was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority in Macomb. She married Melvin L. Malmloff on February 13, 1971, in Silvis. He preceded her in death in October 2012. Pat was an international sales manager at Parr Instrument Company in Moline for 34 years. She was able to enjoy many years of international travel while working at her job.
Pat loved boating on the Mississippi and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Pat also enjoyed riding motorcycles, vintage cars and was a member of the Quad Cities Cruisers. Pat loved dogs, especially her bulldog, Tootsie. Pat was dedicated to everyone in her family. Family that lived close to her and those that lived far away, all were near and dear to her heart.
Survivors include her children; Kathleen Malmloff, Bettendorf, IA, Chris (Nancy) Malmloff, Moline, and Erik (Jenifer) Malmloff, Moline. She also has 3 grandaughters, Caroline Horrell, Elizabeth Horrell both of Bettendorf and Brittany Ranson, East Moline; cousins, Mike (Maggie) Mockbee, Minnesota, Jennifer (Walter) Simmons and their son, Shane, of Maryland; Amy (Adrian) Russo and their son, Chase, Maryland, and sister-in-law, Marion Holmes, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, aunts and uncles.
