Patricia “Patsy” A. Daxon, 89, of Moline, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Rock Island National Cemetery and anyone wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday morning for procession to the cemetery. Per Patsy’s wishes, memorials may be made to YWCA of the Quad Cities.
Patsy was born on January 8, 1933, in Moline. She married Thomas Daxon in July of 1952. They were married for 63 years when he preceded her in death on August 15, 2015.
Patsy’s love for her husband and family was what she lived for. She was sweet, selfless, funny and loved life!!
She enjoyed traveling across the country in their motorhome, sewing, stain glass, and above all being with her children and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, Greg Daxon, Rock Island, and Jennifer (Darrell) DeVilder, Silvis; sisters-in-law, Patricia Ogden, East Moline, Patricia Rudd, Maquoketa, Marilyn Oliver, Rock Island; brothers-in-law, Freddie Attwood, Rock Island, Kenny Daxon, Rock Island; her beloved grandchildren, Emily, Tyler, Austin, and Emily’s boyfriend, Jayson Ledford and son, Beau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Margaret (Wilke) Ogden; husband; brothers, Glenn and Jerry Ogden; and great nephew, Geoff Hoch.
