Paul R. Anderson, 61, of Milan, IL, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services. Private burial services will be at Beulah Cemetery, Rural Township, IL, at a later date. Memorials may be made to UnityPoint Hospice. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Paul was born at March Air Force Base, Riverside, CA, on June 8, 1952, the son of Robert L. and Barbara (Bollman) Anderson. He grew up in Rural Township and attended Orion Community Schools. He graduated in 1970 and attended University of Illinois at Urbana. In 1983, he married Cathy Fransen. He was employed at Milan Parts Depot and John Deere Harvester, East Moline. He retired in 2006 after 30 years with John Deere. In 1975, Paul took a 2700 mile round trip bike ride with 2 Orion friends to Florida. Paul loved music, philosophy, and literature.
His memory will be cherished by his mother, Barbara Anderson, Moline; brother, Tim (Daisy) Anderson of Coal Valley; sisters, Cheryl (Kent) Yauch of Elmhurst, IL, Linda (Albert) Jovanovic of Grayslake, IL, and Adele Coulter of Burlington, IA; cousins; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
