Phyllis See, 73, of Andover, IL, died Monday, May 9, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to your local animal shelter.
Phyllis was born on August 6, 1942, in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Glen Woodrow and Elsie Irene Coziahr Law. She married Russell W. See on December 6, 1980, in Rock Island, IL, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2015. She worked as a bookkeeper for Canteen Corp. for 16 years, retiring in 2000.
Phyllis loved taking care of people and spending time with family meant a lot to her.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherri Casteel and Michele Ivey; grandsons, Nick Casteel, Travis Casteel, Wade Ivey, Aaron Ivey, Johnny Ivey, Andrew Thornburg, and Logan Thornburg; granddaughters, Dana Ivey Reed, Shelby Ivey, and Stephanie Thornburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; daughter, Kimberly; sister, Linda.
