Ralph Edmunds, 88, of Silvis, IL, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal where Military Honors will be performed by Moline American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Honor Flight.
Ralph was born on October 28, 1924, in Bevier, MO, the son of Miles and Mary (Durham) Edmunds. He married Betty J. Moss on August 19, 1945, in Lexington, SC. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2011, in Rock Island, IL. Ralph worked for 34 years in product repair for American Air Filter Corp. and later became self employed in heating and air conditioning. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII and attended Heritage Church. Ralph was an avid fisherman who enjoyed traveling and camping. Above all, he loved being with his family.
