Randall Sorrells

January 13, 1956 — October 29, 2008

Randall "Big Daddy" Sorrells, age 52, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008, in Texas, as a result of a vehicle accident.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Union Congregational Church, Moline. Visitation is from 4 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family or the American Diabetes Association.
Randall Lee Sorrells was born January 13, 1956 in Moline, the son of Dennis C. and Nina R. (Hoggard) Sorrells. He married Marisa J. Donth on October 7, 2000 in Moline.
Randy worked many jobs, but his passion was driving truck. Driving gave him the freedom he's always needed and the flexibility to come home and take care of his "girls", wife Missy, a cocker spaniel Briemma, and a jack russell Nina whenever he pleased.
Taking care of everyone was something Randy did beautifully. Such a big heart. That's what he seemed to live for. Family was of #1 importance to Randy as well as his friends. Randy did not know a stranger. Testimony from the couple he helped along side of the road, the letters that followed, telling him he was their guardian angel. Randy found pleasure in everything; stockcars on the weekends, time with family and friends, country western music, motorcycle rallies and events, children, and sweets. His home was his sanctuary. Never will there be another. We will all miss him so very much.
