Ray Cox

Ray Cox, 90, of Moline, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at his home.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Cremation will follow visitation and burial of cremains will be at Moline Memorial Park at a later date.

Ray was born on February 29, 1932, in East Moline, the son of Clarence and Dorothy Elisabeth Mae (Phelps) Cox. He was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Ray married MaryEllen Reynolds on June 24, 1957, in Moline. She preceded him in death on February 2, 2022. Ray retired from John Deere Harvester after thirty years. He was a longtime member of Golfmohr Golf Club and liked bowling. Above all, Ray loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Sheryl (Chuck) Hauser, Tracy (Randy) Walters; grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon) Carleton, Dustin Walters, Cody Walters, Nathan Hauser, Nya Hauser; great-grandchildren, Ellis Carleton, Cecilia Carleton, Grayson Hauser, Isabella Hauser.

He was preceded in death by his wife; siblings, Robert Cox, Donald Cox, Betty Marks, Joann Chaney and Ruth Webb.
