Rebecca "Becky" Solis

Rebecca “Becky” Lynn Solis, 64, of Moline, died Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Heartland Health Care Center - Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Templo De Alabanza, 613 3rd Street, Moline.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline.  Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the family.  All need to use 60th Street for access to the funeral home.

Rebecca was born on January 3, 1954, in Moline, the daughter of Robert John and Betty Jewell (Gargus) Scherer.  She married Manuel I. Solis on March 22, 1972, in Moline, and they lived in Florida since 2000. Rebecca was employed as a tax preparer and bank teller, and then went on to become a homemaker. Using her love of sewing, she made kids clothing and three wedding gowns. She also loved going to church, baking and cooking. But most of all she loved her family and she will be remembered as a very humble and joyful woman.

Survivors include her husband, Manuel; children, Carina (Kyle) Moore, Florida, Judy (Brian) Tousseau, Moline, Jaime (Angela) Solis, Bettendorf, IA, Raul (Hannah) Solis, Moline; 22 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Marlon Scherer; and step mother, Florene Scherer, Moline.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
