Rev. Fritz Siddall

Rev. Fritz Leroy Siddall, 63, of Silvis, stepped into glory Monday, December 31, 2018 at UnityPoint Trinity-Rock Island, surrounded by beloved family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Faith Walk World Outreach Center, Silvis.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.    Burial will be at Greenview Memorials Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to Crossroads Christian Center, East Moline.

Fritz was born March 23, 1955 in Logansport, Ind., to Ron Siddall and Margaret “Bea” Horton Siddall.  He married his junior high school sweetheart, Janet Maring, on June 27, 1977.

While working as a car salesman, he felt the call of God on his life and he began studying through Berean Bible College to receive credentials in the ministry.  He became interim pastor at Crossroads Christian Center Assembly of God, East Moline, in March of 1985 and became the full-time pastor a year later, serving there as senior pastor until his death.  He led the church with God’s vision and over the years had a deaf ministry, a large children’s outreach, a ministry to African immigrants and other community outreach programs.  His most recent vision was for the congregation to build a new building and because of his unique plan, the church acquired the property to build debt-free.  He loved to preach and teach, but his passion was really story-telling.  After God miraculously healed him from a softball-sized brain tumor in 2016, he traveled extensively sharing his story with a profound impact on all who heard it.

Fritz loved cars, guns and motorcycles, racing motocross when he was younger.  He enjoyed playing all kinds of games with family and friends and always played to win.  He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.  Most of all he loved God and lived his life as a servant to others in obedience to Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Fritz “Lee” (Aurora) Siddall, Jr., Jared (Missy) Siddall, of Silvis and Virginia “Ginna” (Jason) Hubbard, Moline; grandsons, Elijah, Gavin, Holden, Anakin and Ashton Siddall, and Landen and Charlie Hubbard; his mother, Margaret “Bea” Bollinger; and brothers Curt (Robin) Bollinger, Gary Bollinger, and Stacey (Gloria) Bollinger.

He was preceded by his father, Billy Bollinger, and uncle, Essie Horton.
