Richard C. Holle, 78, of Moline, died on May 1, 2015 at Heartland Health Care in Moline.
A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Clinton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Special Olympics or to the First United Presbyterian Mission Fund.
Dick was born on July 23, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Claude and Rose Walsh Holle. He married Dona J. Wallen on February 7, 1959 in Clinton.
Dick graduated from the St. Mary's High School in 1955 and went on to work with the Canteen Food Service in Moline for 21 years retiring in 1985.
Dick was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed many years with his son, Mike, who with his father's help achieved Eagle Scout. Dick was a member of the Knights of Columbus Leo Council #716 of Carbon Cliff having reached the 4th Degree. He was also very involved with the Special Olympics and their Tootsie Roll Drive. Dick was also a member of the F.O.E. Aerie #1112 and will forever be remembered for his volunteer work on the Bingo floor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Frank, Ed, Jerry and Andy, sisters; Mary and Pat.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Gentiva Home Healthcare for their assistance while Dick was still at home and to the caring staff at Heartland Health Care for their care during Dick's last days on earth.
