Richard L. Kiehna, 85, of Galesburg, IL, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL.
Private services will be held and burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal where military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post # 246. Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Richard was born on October 4, 1928, in Aledo, IL, the son of Fred and Mabel (Relander) Kiehna. He married Beverly Griffin on June 13, 1964, in Moline.
Richard worked in shipping and receiving at John Deere Harvester in East Moline for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He loved NASCAR racing. The love of his life was his wife, Bev, daughter, Kim, and the 4 grandkids.
