Richard Keith Raines Sr

Richard Keith Raines, Sr., 88, of Moline, IL, lost his battle with COPD and Heart Problems on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Heritage Woods, Moline.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will no local services. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., is assisting the family.
Richard was born on December 18, 1925 in Abingdon, IL, the son of Ralph and Lucille Taylor Raines. He
was married and widowed by two lovely ladies, Myrtle and Elsie. His lovely Evelyn has been his partner and companion the last two years.
Richard was from the Peoria area, but moved up to the Quad Cities, because his health was deteriorating. He lived with his daughter, Tina, in Colona for 2 years. He lived in Heritage Woods of Moline - Assisted Living Community for 2 years.
Richard was employed as a Stationary Engineer for 28 years, retiring in 1988. Dick enjoyed hunting ginseng in timber, fishing, and being outdoors. Among his other activities were painting, drawing, and the Cardinals.
He is survived by his three children, step daughters, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two children, Carol and Rick.
