Richard A. Rizzolo

Richard A. Rizzolo, 71, of Colona, IL, passed away, May 29, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center.

Cremation rites will be accorded. There are no services to be held. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline are assisting the family with arrangements.

Richard was born on March 15, 1955, in Moline, IL, the son of Frank and Sara (Lee) Rizzolo. He married Sheila Legate in Silvis on November 24, 2000. Rich had always dreamed of being a truck driver, which he fulfilled by owning his own truck. He had a strong faith in God. Rich also had a fascination and love for clouds and enjoyed bowling in his free time.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila; sons, Kurt (Amy) Rizzolo and Lee Rizzolo; grandchildren, Jackson and Olivia; brother, Tom Rizzolo; childhood friend, Steve VanLancker; dogs, Jaxson and Tobi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, and an aunt and uncle.
