Richard C Voorhis

Richard C. Voorhis, 84, of East Moline, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019, at Premier Estates of Muscatine.

Cremation will take place and per Richard’s wishes there will be no services.  Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Richard was born on February 24, 1935, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Edward and Helen L. (Schwebel) Voorhis.  Richard was a U.S. Veteran, serving in the Army.  He married Janet Faur on June 7, 1964, in Rock Island and she preceded him in death on August 4, 2003.  He retired from United Township High School in the maintenance department.

Survivors include his son, Dennis Voorhis; grandchild, Taylor (Landon) Vanskike; great grandchildren, Kynleigh and Adalynn; brother, Henry (Mary) Voorhis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
