Rick R. Knittle

Rick R. Knittle, 71, of Moline, IL, passed away, January 29, 2026, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island, after a 3-month battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Rick was born on September 17, 1954, in Moline, IL, the son of Raymond and Marilyn Knittle. He married Vicki McDonald in Rock Island, IL on February 14, 1994. Rick was an avid Illini, Cardinal, and Bears fan. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and loved to play video games, especially Borderlands.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Knittle; daughter, Amber; stepdaughter, Cheri; stepsons Ron and Don; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe and his wife Donna; niece, Jamie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Mike Jacobs.
