Robert M. Banks, 78, of East Moline, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
Per his wishes there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Care Center. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Robert was born on September 23, 1935, in Newton, IA, the son of Clyde and Wanda Coon Banks. He married Patricia J. Robson, and she preceded him in death on January 15, 2011. He worked as an industrial truck operator for the former John Deere Plow Planter, retiring in 1992.
Robert was a United States Navy veteran having served from 1958-1962. He enjoyed fishing.
