Robert D. Kollman, 84, of East Moline, IL, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Rosewood Care Center of Moline, Moline, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2015, at the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Mausoleum. Robert was born on February 9, 1931, in Muscatine, IA, the son of Joseph F. and Anna G. Reikert Kollman. He married Dorothy M. Horn. He worked as an assembler for I.H. and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Robert was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. For many years he was a member of the East Moline VFW and the Christian Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed spending time drinking coffee at Porky's and McDonald's.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Kollman, Peoria, IL; daughters, Marie (Musah) Mills, Moline, IL, and Amy Kollman, Davenport, IA; step children, Ginny (Gene Taets) Manske, Silvis, IL, Chris (Lisa) Hayes, Moline, IL, Laurie Hayes, Bloomington, IL, Jan (Chris) LaRoche, East Moline, IL; 20 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother; beloved pugs, Sunny and Buffy.
