Robert Eugene Scott I, 86, of East Moline, IL, formerly of Orion, IL, died Thursday, April 03, 2014, at Riverwood Rehab, East Moline, IL.
Memorial services with military honors conducted by the Moline American Legion Post # 246 will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Church of the Quad Cities.
Robert was born on January 23, 1928, in Rock Island, IL, the son of George and Jessie (Wilson) Scott. He married JoAnn Monroe on February 6, 1948, at Sherrard Lutheran Church and she preceded him in death on February 11, 2009.
Robert proudly served the United States Navy. He was self-employed and worked as a builder and a contractor. He also worked for a number of years at Export Packaging in Milan, IL.
