Robert E. Sparks, 53, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Moline.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Robert was born on January 30, 1963, in Moline, IL, the son of Nancy Simler Sparks. He married Shirley S. Dickinson on January 23, 1982, in Moline. He worked as a service engineer for Trumpf, Inc.
Robert enjoyed hard work and riding his motorcycle. He especially loved being with his family and many friends. Robert was loved very much and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley; son, Steven (Monica) Sparks, Moline, IL; daughter, Stacey Sparks, Moline, IL; mother, Nancy Sparks, Moline, IL; grandchildren, Gavin, Cameron, Emmalise, and Avalyn; sisters, Cheryl (Tim Woolsey) Sparks, Carbon Cliff, IL, Brenda (Clarence) Trout, Moline, IL, and Vicki (Warren) Erxleben, New Liberty, IA.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
