Robert D. VanSickle, 76, formerly of Colona, IL died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to his family.
Robert was born on January 30, 1937, in Moline, IL, the son of Burnis C. and Eva M. (Cutler) VanSickle. He married Gloria J. White on March 14, 1959, in Moline, IL.
Robert worked for I.H. International Harvester in East Moline as a Material Handling Investigator in the Engineering Department, retiring after 30 years of service in 1985. He was an avid train collector as well as a member of the Train Collector's Association. Robert enjoyed woodworking and painting.
