Roberta Hanson, 72, of Moline, died on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at her home.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Bettendorf Christian Church, 3487 Towne Pointe Drive, Bettendorf, IA. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Private burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bettendorf Christian Church Building Fund, UnityPoint Hospice, or the One Eighty Food Bank. All need to use 60th Street for access to the funeral home.
Roberta was born on December 22, 1945, in Good Hope, IL, the daughter of Chet and Lena (Hindbaugh) Reeder. She married Marty Hanson on March 4, 1967, in Lincoln, IL. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Illinois University in 1967 and was most recently employed as the office manager at St. Ambrose Physical Therapy. She was an active member of the Bettendorf Christian Church. Roberta spent much of her time helping at her church, food pantries and other small groups. She was loving known as “Bobbi” to her grandkids and she enjoyed attending their different activities.
Survivors include her husband, Marty; son, Nick Hanson of Bettendorf, and his children, Cole, Parker, Drake, and Natalie Hanson; daughter, Angel (Brian) Parks of Moline, and her children Makayla, Drew, and Jake Parks; brother, Rod (Jane) Reeder of New York; sister, Karen (Everett) Runkle of Alabama; aunts, Imogene Nell and Delores Armstrong; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kenny Reeder, infant sister, Beverly, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eldon and Marian Hanson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
